Rusty brings over 25 years of experience in construction, project management, design-build, and business management to Kitchen, Bath & Home. Born and raised in South Louisiana, Rusty takes great pride in his Cajun heritage. From an early age, he was immersed in the outdoor activities that define the region, such as sports, fishing, hunting, cooking, and embracing all aspects of Cajun culture. At the age of 14, Rusty began working in the family construction business during his school summer breaks. This early start laid the foundation for his lifelong passion and expertise in the field. In 1986, Rusty moved to Dallas, Texas, where he quickly fell in love with the vibrant energy of the "Big City." After spending 15 years in the Dallas business scene working for a large corporation, he decided to return to his roots in New Orleans, where he re-engaged in construction and construction management. The devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was a turning point for Rusty. He dedicated three years to the recovery efforts in New Orleans before returning to Dallas in 2008 to manage a large remodeling business. His resilience and commitment to the industry were further solidified when he opened his own construction company in 2013, a venture that has seen continued success ever since. In early 2024, Rusty met with the KBH team, realized he “had found his people” and subsequently joined Kitchen, Bath & Home, quickly becoming a valuable asset, particularly excelling in Project Planning and Sales. He is the critical link that takes our projects from planning to preparation and project management. Beyond his professional achievements, Rusty enjoys a rich personal life. He is passionate about cooking, traveling, and participating annually in New Orleans' Tucks Mardi Gras parade. Additionally, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and exploring various forms of art. Rusty's blend of professional expertise and personal interests makes him a dynamic and multifaceted individual, dedicated to both his work and his cultural heritage.
