We had a number of contractors give estimates and discuss design. We had paid for a design we really liked from an award winning kitchen remodeler. Without seeing that design and just talking through the things we wanted, Jesse came up with an innovative idea that no one had thought of for one particular area. It really opened up the kitchen, added a much needed design element and more storage. Our kitchen is really small. Providing counter space and storage is critical. It is also enclosed on three sides so the cabinets had to fit together like a puzzle. There was much need for creative problem solving and persistence.

“Kitchen, Bath & Home remodeled three bathrooms on the east side of the house in the first phase and the kitchen and an additional bath on the west side of the house in the second phase. We lived there the entire time. Jesse Johns was great to work with. In the planning phases, he listened to our needs and aesthetic desires and came up with creative, high quality plans for achieving them. We planned everything and then spent time acquiring all materials before the actual work started on each phase. He modified the design of the cabinets to give me a truly custom look. He put blocking in the walls around tubs, toilets, and shower in case we install grab bars in the future. We even have pictures and measurements for locating these.

The design of the kitchen was especially nicely done. The placement of appliances make it very efficient to work in. Some features I especially like are: the slotted areas for platters, baking trays and cutting boards; the spice cabinet that utilizes doors as well as shelves to make everything easy to see; the inexpensive in-cabinet compost container; and the lower corner cabinet with its shelves that cantilever out all the way. The shelves of the corner cabinet move so smoothly that I can stand bottles of olive oils and vinegars on them without fear of toppling. All cabinet doors and drawers are self closing and quiet. The subs that worked on my home were without exception professional and competent. We came in under budget on the first phase and slightly over on the second phase. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.”
